Overcoming learning barriers girls in STEM Education in Trinidad and Tobago
STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Traditionally girls do not choose STEM academics as their first choice, this may stem from gender-based stereotypes and societal expectations of females.
